Watermelons have ripened in the Kokdala district of the Kashkadarya region.
This was reported by the press service of the Kokdala district here.
Kokdala district, considered the symbolic homeland of watermelons, broke a record this year.
While in previous years watermelons in the district were harvested on April 17th, this time the record was beaten even earlier.
Farmer Salih Jumanazarov stated that this yield was just an experiment to grow a few watermelons, and it would take approximately 15 more days for the rest of the watermelons to ripen and be ready for mass sale and delivery to the market.
For your information, more than 20,000 hectares in this district are planted with watermelons.
