Protests against the policies of President Donald Trump's administration and actions of Elon Musk controlling the United States Government Efficiency Department (DOGE) are taking place across the United States. This was reported by CNN.
It is noted that the organizers plan to hold more than 1400 rallies in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
The protests under the slogan "Hands off!" are a response to what activists call a "hostile takeover". The demonstrations are occurring in front of state legislatures, federal institutions, congressional offices, and city administrations.
The number of protestors has not been disclosed, but the CNN channel reports that nearly 600,000 people have registered for the demonstration.
Among the main demands of the protestors are to stop "billionaire takeover of power" and corruption in the Trump administration, to preserve funding for Medicaid and Social Security (healthcare and medical insurance programs), and to halt attacks on immigrants and transgender people.
