Shakhram Giyasov secured his 17th victory in professional boxing. Giyasov climbed into the ring in Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA, during a boxing night event. Argentinian Franco Maximiliano Ocampo was his opponent. The fight, scheduled for 10 rounds, concluded in the 4th round.
Now, Giyasov will fight for the WBA and IBF belts against the winner of the Ennis - Staniopsis match.
During a post-fight interview, the athlete said:
"The preparation was very tough. Because I lost my daughter. I know, she is watching me now. She is watching over me. She is praying for me. I had promised her, I had promised her I will become a World champion. I loved her very much. I dedicate this fight and my victory to my daughter! I had promised her I will be a World champion.
