President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was acquainted with the presentation of tourism and construction projects on April 14th.
In a video conference meeting held on April 9th this year, our state leader emphasized that by leveraging our country's rich history and culture, as well as its wonderful nature, it is possible to increase the number of tourists by 2-3 times compared to the current figure.
One of such picturesque locations is the “Chorvoq Gates” complex in Bostanliq. Our president visited its construction site in December last year, and recently, the first phase of the project was opened. The complex will include 16 multi-story buildings, 3 hotels, commercial and utility service branches, cafes and restaurants, a bank office, and a parking lot. Solar panels will be installed on the tops of the buildings.
The presentation discussed the construction of the next phases of the complex, efforts to increase its attractiveness to tourists, and reported on relevant activities. It was emphasized that building a small hydroelectric power station on the Chirchiq river would be appropriate to provide it with cheap and clean energy.
Another project is aimed at constructing an aquarium in the Yashnobod district of Tashkent city. This aquarium, planned to cover 20 hectares along the Chirchiq river, will be another attraction for tourists. A commercial and hotel complex will also be constructed nearby, creating a total of 1,600 job opportunities.
Furthermore, it is planned to build a residential and business location in the Yakkasaroy district. It will include multi-story buildings, kindergartens and schools, sports and health facilities, hotels, and commercial offices.
Our president stressed the need to carefully consider the legal, financial aspects, and infrastructural issues of the projects and to develop a plan of actions. The authorities were instructed to clearly define the quality and timelines and to monitor their implementation.
