A video showing a man verbally threatening five underage children for picking fruit from his garden has gone viral on social media. In response, the Children’s Ombudsman has issued an official statement.
It was noted that the incident is currently being investigated by the Children’s Ombudsman in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).
“The actions in question are not only considered psychological violence and threats towards children, but also constitute public humiliation of a child’s dignity and self-worth, which can severely harm their emotional and mental well-being,” the statement said.
The Ombudsman also emphasized that such unlawful behavior must be met with appropriate legal consequences.
