A warning was issued before official confirmation

This decision coincided with a previous statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan. It was announced that such an extension is expected during a meeting between the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan, Quvonchbek Bokontayev, and the Head of the Department of Interregional and Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries under the President of Russia, Igor Maslov.

Measures taken due to the tightening of migration policy

As a reminder, according to the previous decree, migrants residing in Russia were required to legalize their status by April 30, 2024. This procedure was introduced by the Russian government in the spring as part of an intensified migration policy.
