A sharp increase in the number of migrant parents from Central Asian countries is observed in the Russian Federation. This was reported by the Russian Academy of Sciences.
According to the data, from 2016 to 2023, the number of Tajik fathers increased by 286.8 percent, and the number of mothers increased by 236.6 percent. The number of fathers from Kyrgyzstan increased by 258.1%, and mothers - by 84%.
The largest number of migrant parents was recorded in Moscow and St. Petersburg. Almost half of those born here are immigrants. At the same time, the demographic share of Russians decreases by an average of 3.1% annually.
According to Russian scientists, from 2011 to 2023, the share of parents from Central Asia among all migrants in the Central Federal District grew by an average of 30.1% per year.
