“Greenpeace” activists entered the “Grévin” museum in Paris dressed in work clothes and stole the wax statue of French President Emmanuel Macron.
They wrapped the statue in a blanket and carried it out through the service door. According to information, the sculpture's value is equivalent to 40,000 euros.
The main goal of this unusual action was to protest against the purchase of gas, fuel for nuclear power stations, and fertilizer from Russia.
About 10 activists who carried out the statue held a rally in front of the Russian embassy in Paris against the backdrop of the Russian flag.
Their banner read: “Ukraine is burning, yet business goes on”.
“Greenpeace” thereby openly criticized France for maintaining economic relations with Russia during the ongoing war, indirectly providing financial aid to the Kremlin.
