The rapid search service of the Andijan region Department of Internal Affairs, together with the organized crime fighting department and the employees of the Oltinkol district Department of Internal Affairs, revealed another crime related to extortion during an urgent operation based on a citizen's complaint. The Department of Internal Affairs of the Andijan region reported this.

It has been reported that a person born in 1983 filed a complaint with the Department of Internal Affairs about a situation involving a citizen in a romantic relationship with a woman. This person threatened to discredit the citizen by disclosing the situation to the family members, demanding $7,000 from the citizen in exchange for not performing these actions and for withdrawing the complaint filed.

The person engaging in extortion was arrested by the participants of the operation at the moment of receiving the demanded money, with material evidence.

An investigation has been initiated by the investigation group of the Oltinkol district Department of Internal Affairs under Article 165 (Extortion) Part 1 of the Criminal Code regarding this matter, and investigative actions are currently being carried out.
