According to an internal message distributed through diplomatic channels by the United States Department of State, Washington is considering imposing immigration restrictions on another 36 countries that have raised concerns among its citizens. This was reported by the “Reuters” agency, referencing a document distributed with the signature of Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

The restrictions could come into effect within 60 days — if these countries do not take adequate measures to address the United States' security concerns.

According to a statement by the Department of State, citizens of some countries have participated in terrorist activities or anti-Semitic and anti-American actions in the USA.

Some countries have not assisted in deporting their citizens from the USA.

In others, the government is either absent or not sufficiently cooperative in providing documents verifying an individual's identity.

Moreover, passports from some countries that do not meet biometric security requirements are also causing concern for the USA.

The list of 36 countries includes: Egypt, Ghana, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Kyrgyzstan, Syria, Nigeria, Uganda, and others.

We remind you that the USA has previously implemented entry restrictions for citizens of 12 countries, including Afghanistan, Iran, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen.
