Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced at the “G7” summit during a meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky the allocation of a new $1.5 billion military aid package to Ukraine. This was reported by “DW” publication.
It is noted that the aid package includes military drones, ammunition, and armored vehicles.
Additionally, he promised a new $2.3 billion credit for the reconstruction of infrastructure in Kyiv.
Carney announced sanctions against 77 individuals and 39 entities that are helping Moscow circumvent sanctions, as well as against 200 vessels of Russia's "shadow fleet".
Before the “G7” summit, Zelensky had said he planned to discuss purchasing weapons from the U.S. with Donald Trump there.
However, he returned to Washington from Canada early, so Zelensky was unable to meet him.
