The Japanese welterweight boxer Jin Sasaki cannot remember the events of the last one and half months following a heavy knockout in a fight with the American Brian Norman. This was reported by zamon.uz here.

Immediately after the fight, Sasaki was hospitalized and underwent a CT scan. According to the head of his gym, Isio Nakaya, the athlete escaped without bleeding or major injuries, but suffered short-term amnesia (loss of memory) due to a strong blow to the back of the head.

“Sasaki does not even remember agreeing to the fight. He will undergo further thorough medical examination tomorrow,” Nakaya said.

The 23-year-old Sasaki currently has a professional record of: 19 wins (17 by knockout), 2 losses, 1 draw. The 24-year-old Norman has retained the WBO (World Boxing Organization) title in the fight and has ended 22 of his 28 victories by knockout.
