According to NATO calculations, Russia's military losses in Ukraine have exceeded one million people. This was reported by Germany's DW publication, referencing a high-ranking NATO official during a briefing held in The Hague within the framework of the NATO summit.

According to the information, at least 250,000 of this number have been killed in combat. As per a NATO representative, from an economic potential standpoint, Russia could continue the war until at least 2027.

NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte, in a briefing held with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy before the summit in The Hague, has announced the continuation of assistance to Kyiv. According to him, allies have pledged nearly 35 billion euros' worth of aid for the security of Ukraine in 2024.

— We will take all possible measures so that, once peace is established, Ukraine is so strong that Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin can never again lay claim to even an inch of its territory, — says Rutte.

Zelenskyy, in turn, emphasized the importance of solidarity shown towards Ukraine by NATO and the European Union.

— You see this unity around Ukraine. This unity strengthens us, gives us the strength to resist, — says the President of Ukraine.
