A 53-year-old woman was caught at Tashkent International Airport while trying to send girls aged 31, 23, and 18 to Thailand for prostitution. This was reported by the Internal Affairs Department of Samarkand region.
According to reports, a woman residing in Tashkent city formed a criminal group and convinced girls, who were financially struggling, of the prospect of earning easy money. She planned to send the girls to Thailand for prostitution and pimping, intending to exploit them sexually, for which urgent information was obtained.
As a result of rapid search operations conducted in the territory of the Islam Karimov Tashkent International Airport by the Internal Affairs Department of Samarkand region and the State Security Service officers, the 53-year-old woman was detained with material evidence at the time of attempting to send three girls – aged 31, 23, and 18 – to Thailand. It was revealed that an acquaintance of the woman in Thailand, who is also 53 years old, had agreed to receive the girls, provide them with employment in exchange for sending 5,000 US dollars, and the condition was that they had to work in prostitution and earn money for three months.
It is reported that a criminal case has been initiated under Article 135 of the Criminal Code about this incident, and the suspect has been taken into custody in a procedural manner.
