In recent days, widespread forest fires in Turkey have forced nearly 50,000 citizens to leave their homes. This was reported by the country's Civil Protection Agency.

According to the information, the natural disaster has damaged at least 41 regions. Particularly, in the İzmir province, the fire has destroyed more than 130 homes. Nearly a thousand firefighters and 14 helicopters have been deployed to extinguish the fire.

Fires have also been reported in the Bilecik province. On June 30, forests near the southern city of Hatay were engulfed in flames.

Officials have stated that efforts to combat the fires continue and that security measures have been intensified.
