Recently in the city of Coburg, unknown individuals cut several railway cables used for switches and signal control.

The incident occurred around 5 a.m. on August 12, and the damaged cables were found and repaired on the railway tracks in the Rodental direction.

Police are investigating the situation as a possible act of sabotage. Since July, this is the fourth such incident on Germany's railways, with the previous three cases involving arson attacks on infrastructure facilities in Düsseldorf and Saxony-Anhalt.

A left-wing radical group called "Commando Angry Birds" has claimed responsibility for them.
