An official who demanded a bribe from a person seeking a teaching job in Jizzakh has been detained.
According to the press service of the regional DIA, a resident of Zarbdor district who was looking for a job at School No. 16 in Jizzakh city was told by one of the school officials that there was a vacancy but required a bribe for it, as reported.
One of the school administrators had initially taken 5 million soums out of the 16 million soums demanded for hiring two teachers. Later, this individual was caught red-handed while receiving the remaining 11 million soums of the demanded amount.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident.
