U.S. President Donald Trump called on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to end the war in exchange for conditions including giving up Crimea and not joining NATO. He wrote about this on his Truth Social page.

Trump emphasized that "Obama gave up Crimea without firing a single shot," and this territory cannot be regained. NATO membership, he added, "will never happen."

In this regard, the meeting between Trump and Zelenskyy at the White House will begin on August 18 at 22:15 Tashkent time.

Before the talks, Zelenskyy responded via his Telegram channel, stressing that Ukraine would never agree to any territorial losses.

"This war must end in peace and justice. Giving up Crimea and Donbas will become a springboard for new wars. It must not be empty talk like the 1994 security guarantees," said the Ukrainian leader.

According to him, the Ukrainian army continues its operations in the Donetsk and Sumy directions, and "Russia must be the one to stop the war it started."
