According to the State Security Service, a person born in 1991 and living in Oltinkol district demanded a total of $10,000 from four individuals under the pretext of obtaining a work visa to Latvia.
He was caught red-handed while receiving the money during a rapid operation conducted in the city of Urgench.
Additionally, a person born in 1997 and residing in the city of Angren was also detained while receiving $2,100 of the demanded $8,250, which he had requested from citizens of Andijan by promising them visas.
Criminal cases have been initiated for both incidents, and investigative actions are being carried out.
