According to the law adopted on August 21, the collection of charitable donations in Uzbekistan has been strictly regulated.
Collections can only be carried out for the benefit of specific charitable recipients and within a defined timeframe.
Failure to comply with the regulations is punishable by a fine ranging from 1 million 236 thousand to 2 million 60 thousand soums for citizens, and from 2 million 60 thousand to 2 million 884 thousand soums for officials.
For reference, three individuals who were deceiving citizens and fraudulently collecting donations were recently apprehended.
