Videos have circulated on social networks showing a father in the Jizzakh region humiliating his children, mercilessly beating and kicking them. The Children's Ombudsman has commented on this situation.
It was reported that this case is currently being investigated by the regional representative of the Children's Ombudsman in the Jizzakh region and by the relevant officials. It was determined that a citizen, S.Sh., residing in the Jizzakh region, committed acts of physical violence against his two children as a result of a family dispute.
Relevant measures are currently being taken by internal affairs bodies and specialists from the territorial Human Rights Center of the National Social Protection Agency regarding the application of strict measures against the father, moving the children to a safe environment, and providing them with the necessary psychological and social assistance.
The Children's Ombudsman has stated that they will continue their monitoring of the situation and will provide additional information on the matter.
