A MAN-brand bus operating on route number 101 sank due to road subsidence on Gulsanam Street in Tashkent city at 5:40 AM.

According to the "Toshshahartransxizmat" report, the incident occurred while the bus was stopped at the TTZ market stop. Water seeping from the pipes caused the soil to subside.

The bus was extracted from the sinkhole by 10:10 AM. Fortunately, no passengers were injured. The vehicle underwent a technical inspection and sanitation before being returned to service.

The "Tashkent City Water Supply" enterprise stated that the incident was caused by a malfunction that occurred during the replacement of a 400 mm diameter water pipe. The subsidence was precisely due to water seeping from these pipes.

Although videos circulating online show an excavator that had come to assist at the scene overturning and a minibus also sinking, official sources have not yet commented on these vehicles.

The district administration has announced that detailed information about the incident will be provided.
