More than 6,000 passengers have been fined since the beginning of the year in Tashkent for not paying bus fares. This was reported by the press secretary of the Ministry of Transport.

It was stated that the Transport Inspection and the State Institution for Monitoring and Control of Public Transport in Tashkent are conducting intensified raids against passengers traveling without paying fares on capital buses.

According to the report, administrative measures have been taken against 6182 violators during the past period of the current year.

Based on Article 144, Clause 5 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility, a passenger traveling without a ticket on an intra-city or suburban bus is subject to a fine in the amount of one-tenth of the base calculation amount (41,200 soums).
