It is planned to open "Islamic windows" within the structure of both new banks operating on the basis of a license and traditional banks.
According to the Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank, Abrorhoja Turdaliev, a separate license will be introduced to carry out Islamic banking activities in the country.
According to it, the opportunity will be created to either open an independent Islamic bank or establish a division within an existing bank to provide Islamic services.
Through this initiative, it is expected to offer Sharia-compliant financial services to the population and business entities, increase competition among banks, and attract new investors.
