Israeli armed forces destroyed residential buildings in Gaza City. At least 31 civilians were killed, and hundreds, thousands of people were forced to flee the city.
A pregnant woman and her two children were also killed in the attacks. Relatives are trying to search the buildings for personal belongings.
The number of people who fled the city is estimated to be over 450,000, but Hamas puts the figure at 300,000. 900,000 residents remain in the city area.
Foreign countries are criticizing the attacks. The United Kingdom is preparing to recognize the State of Palestine. The families of 48 detained civilians are also concerned.
