In the first 7 months of 2025, 6.3 million foreign tourists visited Uzbekistan. This is almost 49 percent more than the same period last year. This was reported by the National Statistics Committee.
It is reported that during this period, the number of visitors from Afghanistan increased 93-fold, the number from China increased 2.9-fold, and the number from Turkmenistan increased 2.5-fold. Excluding CIS countries, the most tourists are coming from Afghanistan. An average of 403 dollars worth of services were provided per foreign tourist.
The number of foreign citizens who visited Uzbekistan in the first 7 months of the current year, by country, is as follows:
Kyrgyzstan – 1.84 million people (1.2 million people in the same period last year);
Kazakhstan – 1.46 million people (845.8 thousand people);
Tajikistan – 1.44 million people (1.2 million people);
Russia – 536.8 thousand people (442.1 thousand people);
Afghanistan – 267.5 thousand people (2,883 people);
Turkmenistan – 208.8 thousand people (83.7 thousand people);
China – 103.1 thousand people (35.5 thousand people);
Turkey – 96.5 thousand people (62 thousand people);
India – 38 thousand people (33.3 thousand people);
South Korea – 25 thousand people (23.9 thousand people);
other countries – 289 thousand people (231 thousand people).
5.2 million or 82.5 percent of all visitors were citizens of neighboring countries.
