A road traffic accident involving a Cobalt car and a scooter in the Urgench district of the Khorezm region claimed a person's life.
According to information from the Regional DIA, the incident occurred on September 23 at the 8th kilometer of the D-218 highway. A 20-year-old driver, moving in a Cobalt car, hit a scooter that was crossing the road from right to left. As a result, the scooter rider died at the scene.
Preliminary investigative actions are being carried out by the investigation department of the Urgench District DIA regarding the incident.
For reference, starting from October 1, a driver's license will be required to operate mopeds and scooters.
