The National Commission on Combating Human Trafficking and Forced Labor reported that, according to monitoring conducted during the 2025 cotton harvesting season, legal contracts were concluded and working conditions were created for more than 300 pickers.
However, the inspection revealed 11 cases of labor law violations and 3 cases where forced labor was permitted. Regarding these specific cases, measures have been taken against those responsible based on Articles 49 and 51 of the Administrative Responsibility Code.
The National Commission reminded that forced labor is absolutely prohibited in any sector and called on all employers to respect the rights of employees.
