An Uzbek citizen residing in the Komi Republic of Russia has been found guilty by the court of organizing illegal migration. This was reported by Zamon.uz.
It was established that the man prepared fake work permits and other forged documents for his wife in order to grant her legal status in Russia. These documents were submitted to the immigration authorities, but an examination confirmed they were counterfeit.
As a result, the woman was deported, and the man was held criminally liable. The case was investigated by the territorial directorate of the Russian Federal Security Service. The court found him guilty of committing a crime as part of a group and sentenced him to 18 months in a standard-regime penal colony.
The sentence has not yet entered into force.
