On April 11, a 28-year-old driver of a Lacetti car caused a traffic accident by driving onto pedestrians in Samarkand. As a result of the incident, one person died and several others suffered bodily injuries.
The Samarkand City Court considered the criminal case. According to the court's decision, the driver, born in 1997, was found guilty under Part 2 of Article 266 of the Criminal Code and sentenced to 7 years of imprisonment, as well as deprived of the right to drive vehicles for 3 years.
