It is reported that compared to the 2015-2016 academic year, their number has increased by 43.4 percent. 71 percent, or 401.3 thousand, of the teachers were women, while 29 percent, or 163.6 thousand, were men.
The number of teachers working in general secondary education institutions at the beginning of the 2021-2022 academic year was 510 thousand, at the beginning of the 2022-2023 academic year — 521.6 thousand, at the beginning of the 2023-2024 academic year — 547.8 thousand, and at the beginning of the 2024-2025 academic year — 564.9 thousand.
