As of October 6 at 09:00, Tashkent city became the city with the most polluted air quality among world cities. This was noted in the data from the IQAir portal.
The concentration of harmful PM2.5 fine particles in the capital's air was 59.8 µg/m³. This is considered several times higher than the standard and is at a level dangerous to health.
Officials are advising people not to go outside unless necessary, to wear masks, and to maintain cleanliness at home. It is necessary to keep doors and windows tightly closed and to perform wet cleaning several times a day to prevent dust accumulation in rooms.
We remind you that previously — on September 22 — Tashkent had also recorded a similar anti-record.
