The incident occurred on March 25, 2025, near dawn during the Ramadan holiday. The student took his older brother's Tracker car and drove it at a speed of 137 km/h. Having lost control on the road, he collided with two cars and a pole. As a result of the collision, his classmate was thrown from the passenger compartment and died at the scene.

During the court proceedings, the accused gave the following testimony:

"After my friends called me, I took my brother's car keys. I was interested in cars. Such a situation will not happen again. I deeply regret what I did."

The court found the 17-year-old young man guilty under Part 2 of Article 266 of the Criminal Code (causing a person's death as a result of violating traffic safety rules). He was sentenced to 4 years of deprivation of liberty. Subsequently, the court reviewed the sentence and set a 3-year suspended sentence of deprivation of liberty.
