A fire occurred at one of the schools in the Mirzo Ulugbek district of Tashkent city. The EMERCOM provided information regarding the situation.
It is stated that today, on October 13, at 17:23, a report was received by the Tashkent city EMERCOM about a fire breaking out on the roof part of an empty building under renovation on the premises of school No. 208.
According to the report, fire and rescue crews arrived at the mentioned address at 17:28, surrounded the fire at 17:39, and extinguished it at 17:42. There were no school staff or students present at the time of the fire.
The cause of the incident is presumed to be the failure to observe fire safety rules during the repair work; the damage is being assessed.
