According to information provided by the State Security Service, the head of the Department of Emergency Situations of the Kyzyltepa district of the Navoi region, using his official position, demanded 3000 US dollars in exchange for providing a positive conclusion on the compliance of the district's trade and consumer services complex with fire safety requirements, based on an application received through the "my.gov.uz" unified interactive portal of state services.
During an urgent operation carried by State Security Service officers, the said official was caught red-handed receiving this sum of money in his office.
A criminal case has now been initiated against him under Part 1 of Article 210 of the Criminal Code, and the preventive measure of "detention" has been applied.
