On November 3, a strong earthquake with a magnitude of 6.8 was recorded in the Samangan province of Afghanistan.

The depth of the earthquake was 30 km.

The earthquake tremors were felt in a number of regions of Uzbekistan: 5 points in Surkhandarya, 3–4 points in Kashkadarya, and around 2–3 points in Tashkent and Fergana.
