Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the Amir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, as part of his working visit to Doha.
The parties discussed issues of strengthening the strategic partnership and expanding cooperation in the fields of trade, investment, and "green" energy.
The meeting noted that trade turnover has increased by 45 percent and projects involving major Qatari companies are being implemented.
Joint initiatives in the fields of transport, geology, textiles, tourism, and infrastructure were also discussed. In addition, views were exchanged on international and regional issues.
