In the match, team captain Lionel Messi scored two goals and provided one assist. According to Cadena SER, this allowed the Argentine star to reach his 400th career assist.

Messi opened the scoring in the 10th minute with a precise shot from outside the penalty area with his left foot. His second goal was scored in a similar fashion. In another goal, he provided an accurate pass to Tadeo Allende, contributing to the fourth goal.

Following this victory, Inter Miami coach Javier Mascherano (Messi's former teammate) specifically praised the star player:

"It's amazing to see Messi, even at 38, leading the team's pressing. Everyone knows what he does with the ball, but his movements without the ball are a true example of team sacrifice," said Mascherano.

With this, Messi became the second player in history to reach 400 assists. The record holder is the Hungarian legend Ferenc Puskás, who registered 404 assists during his career.

For reference, Lionel Messi has scored 40 goals and provided 17 assists in 42 matches across all competitions in the current season.

We remind you that on November 5, he was honored by Miami Mayor Francis Suarez with the key to the city.
