According to the World Population Review's 2025 report, the U.S. leads in the number of millionaires, while Switzerland leads in their share of the population.
Reports indicate that at least 16.45 percent of Switzerland's adult population possesses net assets of one million dollars.
The country ranks first in the world for this indicator. Luxembourg and Hong Kong follow in the subsequent ranks.
In absolute terms, the U.S. has more than 22 million millionaires. It is followed by China (6.3 million), France (2.9 million), Japan (2.7 million), and Germany (2.7 million).
Experts emphasize that inequality in the global distribution of wealth still persists.
