The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, will host the summit. The participation of Kazakhstan's leader Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, and Turkmenistan's leader Serdar Berdimuhamedov is expected.

Additionally, the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, has also been invited to the Tashkent summit.

The first consultative meeting of the heads of state of Central Asian countries was held in Astana in 2018, and this initiative was launched based on Mirziyoyev's idea of strengthening regional cooperation.
