The next package of measures for the development of the tourism sector in Uzbekistan has been approved.
Starting from February 1, 2026, foreign citizens arriving in our country will have the opportunity to receive a cash refund of the value-added tax paid for goods they purchased upon their departure from Uzbekistan, at their request.
It is reported that this system aims to increase competitiveness in the tourism sector, create favorable conditions for tourists, and provide an additional impulse for the country's economy.
Such initiatives by the President aimed at supporting tourism will serve to enhance Uzbekistan's prestige in the international arena and further strengthen the sector as a strategic industry.
