Former head coach of the Uzbekistan national team, Timur Kapadze, in a comment to CNN Indonesia, said that he is holding negotiations with the Football Federation of Indonesia. He emphasized that the purpose of his visit to Jakarta was to honor an offer in the field of tourism.
"I came here out of respect for an offer regarding tourism. Negotiations about coaching the Indonesian national team were not planned," said Kapadze.
The coach added that his visit to the Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta, the Friday prayer, and his acquaintance with the city left a strong impression on him. He emphasized that the similarities between Indonesia and Uzbekistan, especially the closeness of religious customs, pleased him.
