According to Mirziyoyeva's words, the Doha Film Festival is one of the most important platforms for independent and auteur cinema, providing an opportunity for directors with unique perspectives and bold artistic positions to express their views.
Dozens of films from various countries were included in the festival program; special attention was paid to young authors and local filmmakers, for whom special sections and competition programs were organized.
"Today I visited this festival, which is taking place in notable cultural venues of the Qatari capital. Contemporary cinema is a way of reflecting current moods and meanings, while also understanding what topics are concerning our society," writes Mirziyoyeva.
