Air quality in Uzbekistan may deteriorate over the next 10 days. This is due to the intensification of a cold anticyclone and a long-term inversion.
According to "Uzhydromet", starting from November 29, the influence of the anticyclone will intensify further, atmospheric pressure will rise, and air temperature will decrease. Cold nights and relatively warm days can be observed.
Experts noted that during such quiet and cold anticyclonic periods in nature, thick morning fog and an increase in the amount of dust and smoke in the air are natural phenomena.
Inversion processes are expected to last until at least December 5. During this period, the concentration of fine suspended particles - PM may increase, which significantly worsens the air quality.
Experts recalled that earlier an improvement in the air was expected on November 24, but according to the updated forecast, the inversion may persist even after November 29.
