According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the leader of a criminal group nicknamed "Gryaz," wanted for a series of serious crimes committed in Uzbekistan, was detained in Turkey. Y. M., born in 1993, was identified as a result of urgent investigative measures carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan, the State Security Service, and the country's Consulate General in Istanbul.
It is reported that he had been hiding from investigation in Turkey and was returned to Uzbekistan on December 5 and handed over to investigative authorities. This individual is accused of committing crimes in Uzbekistan such as organizing a criminal group, murder or intimidation using violence, robbery, extortion, and deliberate destruction of property.
Y. M. had been declared wanted in 2023 by the Yashnabod District Department of Internal Affairs under several articles of the Criminal Code. Currently, investigative actions regarding this case are ongoing, and a legal assessment will be made against him in accordance with the procedure established by law.
