According to the Presidential Press Service, the Paralympic national teams center will be established in the territory of the Olympic town located in the Yashnabad district of Tashkent city.

The center's activities will be aimed at selecting talented athletes in Paralympic sports, forming national teams, and thoroughly preparing them.

It is noted that the center's director is considered the deputy chairman of the National Paralympic Committee. The number of other administrative staff for the center has been set at 17 people.

Within the framework of the program for developing social and industrial infrastructure in 2026, modern buildings will be constructed in the territory of the Olympic town, including dormitories, a canteen, and administrative offices for the Paralympic national teams, using the allocated funds.

Furthermore, a new procedure for forming national teams in Paralympic sports will be introduced starting January 1, 2026. According to it, along with athletes' competition results, their fulfillment of sports standards will also be taken into account. Athletes' results will be monitored through the "ERP-sport" electronic system.

For reference, at the 2025 Youth Para Asian Games, Uzbek athletes won 99 gold, 57 silver, and 41 bronze medals, taking first place in the overall team standings.
