On December 18, a bridge located over the Keles River in the Qoshqarota village of the Keles district of the Turkistan region collapsed. Reporting on this, "Orda.kz" referred to the district administration.
It is reported that cracks had been noticed on the bridge before the incident, and traffic was stopped for safety reasons. Currently, emergency services, internal affairs authorities, and local government representatives are working at the scene.
According to preliminary conclusions, the collapse of the bridge was caused by its long-term use and the washing away of its foundation supports by the water flow. The bridge is currently being repaired on an emergency basis.
At the same time, drivers are advised to use 10–15 kilometer detour routes through the Alpamys and Bir tilek rural districts.
