Saida Mirziyoyeva visited the "Navoi" polyclinic in one of the remote villages of Urgut and criticized the conditions there for not meeting the required standards. She wrote about this on her social media page here.

"The building, constructed in 1972, is in need of major renovation and improvement to meet new standards and enhance the quality of medical services. The facility provides primary medical care for over 13,000 people. For the population living in 16 villages, it is the closest and only medical center that accepts this burden. The workload is extremely high, and the conditions speak for themselves. Raindrops hitting the gray windows of the basement rooms also reflect the situation," says Mirziyoyeva.

She also emphasized, while commenting on the situation, that this is not the problem of just one polyclinic.

"This process is not limited to just repairing buildings; the approach to the primary healthcare system is being fundamentally reconsidered. What I saw today proves once again that problems in healthcare cannot be assessed based solely on reports and documents," writes the head of the administration.

We remind you that earlier we reported on Saida Mirziyoyeva traveling via the new railway from Samarkand to Urgut station here.

During this trip, the head of the administration emphasized that in Urgut, a free economic zone is being formed, which will be important infrastructure serving to reduce distances and costs for entrepreneurs and travelers.
