A young man was arrested in Chilanzor district of Tashkent city for attempting to break open an ATM due to a 10 million soum debt.
According to the Tashkent City DIA, the incident occurred at approximately 02:30.
He damaged the ATM's external casing with a stone but could not open the internal safe and fled the scene. The suspect was detained as a result of prompt investigative actions.
It is reported that the ATM safe contained more than 552 million soums. The damage caused to the machine amounted to 30 million soums.
A criminal case has been initiated against the suspect under Part 4 of Article 169 of the Criminal Code, and detention as a preventive measure has been applied.
