Uzbekistan sent 390 tons of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan.

On December 29, humanitarian aid weighing 390 tons was delivered to the people of Afghanistan from Uzbekistan in the city of Hairatan, Balkh province. The aid consists of food products, medicines, and medical equipment.

This is considered the fourth major humanitarian campaign sent to Afghanistan this year: 200 tons were delivered in March, 26 tons of seeds in May, 183 tons in June, and 300 tons in September.

The governor of Balkh province expressed gratitude to the President of Uzbekistan for the aid and for bilateral trade and economic cooperation. In 2026, Uzbekistan will continue supplying electricity to Afghanistan.
